Huw lives with his family in Birmingham where he attends Hall Green Quaker meeting. He is a civil engineer who has spent much of his working life in the railway industry and more recently at Sustrans creating a better environment for people who want to walk and cycle. He now works part time having completed a major construction project at the Black Country Living Museum to create a new visitor centre along with new historic buildings in 2024. He is also trustee of Central England Quaker Area Meeting.
