Racial justice
We seek to promote racial justice and equality of opportunity as a basis for an harmonious multi-racial, multi-ethnic society in the UK. We fund work addressing issues and policies that affect refugees and asylum seekers.
Our programme operates at three levels: locally (within West Yorkshire), nationally (except Northern Ireland which is funded separately) and at a European level.

- European Programme for Integration and Migration UK Seminar
JRCT is a partner in the European Programme for Integration and Migration (EPIM). This is a joint venture of European foundations, to promote constructive integration policies at the EU level and in Member States. To date, the programme has involved a grants programme to support NGOs and a series of consultations.
Along with other independent grantmakers and with the UK Race in Europe Network (UKREN), JRCT organised a consultation seminar in the UK to explore the Impact of the European Integration Agenda on UK Policy. The seminar report is available to download below.
