Welcoming Caroline Broadhurst, Deborah Finkler, Kamran Shezad, and Michael Stiasny as new appointments to the JRCT board

We are delighted to announce the appointment of four new trustees to the JRCT board: Caroline Broadhurst, Deborah Finkler, Kamran Shezad, and Michael Stiasny. They will join their first meeting in September.

- Caroline is CEO of The Rank Foundation, a UK-based charity. She has played a pivotal role in shaping the organisation’s distinctive approach to philanthropy, centring trust and long-term relationships. She developed and led their leadership programme, Time to Shine, which has started the careers of over 600 social sector leaders since 2011.

- Deborah has over 40 years’ experience as a solicitor and served as managing partner of Slaughter and May from 2022 to 2025. She has a strong record in governance and inclusion, having been a trustee of Trust for London and co-chair of Legal CORE, a collective addressing under-representation of ethnic minority groups in the UK legal sector.

- Kamran is a qualified environmental professional with practical field and managerial experience in sustainable development, recognised by the ENDS Report Power List as one of the UK’s top 100 most impactful environmental professionals. He is a grassroots environmental activist and social justice campaigner who has worked with a diverse range of communities and faith groups to support engagement.

- Michael has nearly 30 years’ experience in investment management and has specialised in UK equities since 2010, holding senior roles within M&G Investment Management’s equities business. He manages funds for charities, institutions, and private investors, serves as a trustee of the M&G Pension Fund, and is a member of South East London Area Quaker Meeting.

Our latest recruitment campaign, which was supported by Green Park, received a strong response, with a large number of applications from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences

We look forward to the expertise and fresh perspectives our new trustees will bring to our work.
